It is a reservoir of spring water located in characteristic geological depressions, in which the water from the aquifer peeks out through the fall of the ceiling of a cave. It is part of the aquifers, which are interconnected between underground galleries. In a cenote, limestone or saskab rock (calcium and magnesium carbonates) predominates, favouring the formation of freshwater bodies typical of the Yucatan Peninsula (Mayan area). They can be found in other parts of America, usually at a certain depth.
Our service hours are from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 365 days a year. Check the special hours during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Kantun Chi is located on the Federal Highway Cancun – Tulum km 288. In front of the Hotel Barceló, just 1 km after Puerto Aventuras.
If you visit us from Playa del Carmen, you can board the van service to Tulum (Calle 2 corner Av. 15) which takes you to the entrance of our Ecopark.
If you visit us from Cancun, you can board the ADO (Mayan) bus to Tulum, which takes you to the entrance of our Ecopark.
If you visit us from Tulum, you can board the van service to Playa del Carmen, which takes you to the entrance of our Ecopark.
