Is the water in the cenotes cold?

The water in the cenotes has a pleasant temperature of 21 to 23° Celsius or 74 degrees Fahrenheit.

Can sunscreen be used?

For environmental protection, the use of any type of cream or sunscreen that may contaminate the ecosystem is prohibited. You will not need it, as you will be under the shade of the trees.
At the eco-park entrance, all creams, liquids, and aerosols will be held and returned upon exit.

Can we bring food or alcoholic beverages?

Bringing food and beverages is not allowed, nor glass containers, cans, or bottled drinks. Entry will also be denied to individuals under the influence of alcohol or substances, as well as to anyone attempting to bring alcohol in any form, speakers/loudspeakers, or coolers.

Do you rent towels?

We do not offer towel rentals; towels are available for purchase only. We recommend bringing your own.

Can I see animals in the jungle?

You will surely find a great diversity of birds, mammals, invertebrates, and reptiles.

Can photos be taken?

The use of mobile phones and GoPro cameras is allowed during guided experiences and in the cenotes. Any other type of camera is subject to an additional fee.
If a photographic session is conducted without prior purchase and the visitor is identified, the corresponding fee must be paid.
The use of drones is not permitted; anyone found using one will be subject to a fine.

Is the underground river the same as the cenotes?

They are two completely different experiences. The underground river experience is a guided tour with specialized equipment such as water shoes, a helmet, and snorkeling gear. It takes place entirely underground and features an illuminated system. From entrance to exit, the route covers a distance of 300 meters.
Cenotes, on the other hand, are open and semi-open, always receiving natural sunlight. You may visit them on your own or choose a guided experience.

What is the group size for guided tours?

Group sizes for guided tours are 16 people per guide for the GRUTAVENTURA and GRUTA TRAVESÍA experiences, and 20 people for the AGUAS MÁGICAS experience.

Can I book a private tour?

To book a private tour, the full amount must be paid based on the number of people included in the tour, depending on the experience.

Is the eco-park suitable for all ages?

For guided tours in GRUTAVENTURA, only children 6 years and older are allowed to participate.
For the self-guided experience 4 TRAVESÍAS, children under 5 years old do not pay and also have access to the AGUAS MÁGICAS experience; however, meals are not included.
Children’s access to the cenotes must be under adult supervision and with a life jacket.

After the guided portion, can we stay and enjoy the rest of the cenotes?

Yes, you are welcome to stay and enjoy this wonderful place for the rest of the day. We are open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What is the cost of professional photography equipment?

To access cameras, you must pay for the experience, plus access to the equipment:

Access to a professional camera with use of facilities and content publishing on platforms (only 1 camera without accessories): from $7,000 MXN for 4 cenotes only. See terms and conditions in the sales area.
Housing + tripod + other equipment at an extra cost.
Productions with 1 or more cameras and professional equipment: cost to be quoted with the sales area with a contract for commercial use of the facilities.
Cost for photographers depends on the location; consult the sales area.

Do the experiences include deposits?

Deposits are not included. If you purchase a guided tour, you must leave a deposit of:

Locker rental included, a deposit of $200 MXN is required. If you purchase the experience with free time, you can purchase it for $100 MXN.
Snorkeling is included during the guided tour; at the end, you can rent it for $140 MXN and leave a deposit of $400 MXN.

Do I need to book for a specific visit date?

It is necessary to book your visit for a specific date, as experiences have limited capacity. Please review our date change or cancellation policies to address any questions you may have.

What are the reservation center hours?

Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Can I change the visit date on my reservation?

Yes, you can change the visit date on your reservation. You have up to one year from the date of purchase to schedule your visit. We recommend contacting the reservations department to check availability.

What are your cancellation and refund policies?

Our cancellation policies are as follows: we do not offer refunds, only date changes within a period of one year. Any change to the visit date may be subject to fare adjustments.

Para compras en la web por medio del motor de reservas Peek, las facturas no son emitidas el día de la compra, sólo a partir del día de visita. 

Las facturas se emiten solamente en el mes de compra, posterior al mes, no se podrán emitir facturas fiscales.

Para facturas con compras directas en taquilla, deberán solicitar al momento del pago, máximo hasta las 4:30 pm para que se pueda emitir, posterior al día de visita no se emiten facturas.

What other discounts do you offer?

We offer discounts for Mexican nationals, valid on our website, WhatsApp reservations, or direct purchase at the eco-park with a valid, physical, and official ID.

Early booking discounts for foreign visitors are available on our website and through WhatsApp reservations.

Birthday promotions and special group rates are available exclusively through WhatsApp reservations.

What payment methods are accepted?

You can make your payment through different methods: via the PayPal digital platform, bank transfer, or directly at the cashier using cash (Mexican pesos or U.S. dollars) or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).
Interest-free installment payments are available only for reservations made via WhatsApp and email.

Where are they located?

We are located on the Cancun–Tulum Federal Highway km 266.8, San José Puerto Aventuras.

Do you offer transportation?

Transportation is not included in our experiences. If you wish, we can offer private transportation options. Contact us at +52 1 984 271 0681 for more information on rates.

Here are some public transportation options:

If you are visiting from Playa del Carmen, you can take a van to Tulum (Calle 1 Sur, corner of Av. 45), which will drop you off at the entrance of our ecopark.

If you are visiting from Cancún, you can take an ADO (Mayan) bus to Tulum, which will drop you off at the entrance of our ecopark.

If you are visiting from Tulum, you can take a van to Playa del Carmen, which will drop you off at the entrance of our ecopark.

Do you have parking? Is there an additional cost?

We offer parking with security cameras and a security guard at no additional cost.

Can we request a taxi to return to our hotel through you?

Of course. Our reception staff can request it for you; we recommend doing so 20 minutes before your departure.

Do you offer discounts for senior citizens?

We offer a special rate for INAPAM cardholders. However, this discount is only valid for residents of Mexico who present a valid, physical, and official INAPAM or INSEN ID at the reception of our eco-park.

Do you offer discounts for Quintana Roo residents?

Yes, we offer a special rate for Quintana Roo residents, valid upon presenting a valid, physical, and official ID at the entrance (INE or driver’s license issued in Quintana Roo).
For minors, a valid Quintana Roo school ID with photo or a valid, physical CURP must be presented.
